From October 31 – November 21, The University of South Carolina and Clemson University participated in the second annual Palmetto Series Food Drive benefiting Harvest Hope Food Bank and Golden Harvest Food Bank. With the collection of 28,300+ pounds of canned food items, 193,750 meals will be provided to those in need in South Carolina through the combined efforts of both schools.

The Clemson Tigers take the honor this year, with 126,772 total meals donated – and $22,455.85 raised. The Gamecocks efforts resulted in 66,978 meals, with $11,939 raised, and 9,468 pounds donated.

This is a tremendous off-the-field victory for both schools and the community. A special thanks to the students, fans and friends who participated and helped tackle hunger in the Palmetto state.
